Chilled Logistics operate refrigerated deliveries on behalf of major UK supermarkets. We built a driver app and management system that replaced a paper-based workflow, covering route management, proof of delivery and temperature logging.

The Challenge

Chilled Logistics operate in a sector where documentation and compliance aren’t optional extras. The integrity of temperature-controlled freight depends on accurate record-keeping at every stage. They needed a system that could manage the full lifecycle of a job: from client approval through driver briefing, vehicle allocation, and real-time tracking, to debrief and documentation. International freight added another layer of complexity, requiring CMR-compliant paperwork. On top of that, warehouse temperature monitoring had to be built into the same platform.

The Solution

Logicc built an end-to-end track and trace and job documentation system covering the full operational workflow. Clients approve jobs via an email-based system, and a 14-day control screen gives the operations team visibility over upcoming work and vehicle allocation. Drivers are briefed and debriefed automatically through the platform, with all documentation generated and stored without manual intervention. The system is CMR-ready for international freight, includes warehouse temperature monitoring, and produces the operational reporting the business needs to stay on top of performance.

The Results

The platform integrates with Chilled Logistics’ vehicle tracking system and warehouse management system, pulling in real-time temperature and location data from sensors across the operation. This gives the business a complete, auditable record, from job booking through to delivery confirmation and temperature trail.
