Why bespoke?
Off-the-shelf delivery tracking software works well for standard parcel flows. It struggles when your operation has its own rules: two-person deliveries with installation, cross-dock movements, timed collections, multiple retail clients who each want their own view, or legacy systems that hold the real order data. That's where a platform built for your process earns its cost. If an off-the-shelf product would do the job, we'll say so.
What we build
Track and trace platforms. Live status for every item, from collection through cross-dock to delivery, visible to your team, your clients and the end customer.
Client portals. Web portals where your clients upload orders, book deliveries, track progress and pull reports without phoning your office.
Customer notifications. SMS and email alerts at each stage, including interactive messages that let customers rebook or cancel a delivery themselves by replying.
Cross-dock and warehouse control. Systems for running cross-dock operations, tied into the tracking platform so every item's location is known in real time.
Barcode scanning. Scanning software and hardware set-up so every handover is recorded at the point it happens.
Control screens and operational reporting. Live views for operations managers and depot coordinators: jobs at risk, exceptions, driver progress and service levels.
Connected to everything else
Tracking data is only as good as what feeds it. We connect the platform to your driver apps for proof of delivery and GPS, to vehicle routing and planning software, to carrier platforms such as Metapack, and to your clients' own systems through APIs.
Proof
- A two-man home delivery business needed to give its retail clients real-time visibility of deliveries across the UK. We built the track and trace platform now used by more than 30,000 people a day, including retail clients such as Amazon, Sky and Peloton.
- A refrigerated delivery operator working for major supermarkets moved from paper to a driver app and management system, giving the office live route status and proof of delivery.
How we work
We work as an extension of your IT or development team. We get to know your operation and your existing systems first, then release working software in stages so your teams can use it and shape it as it grows. You get regular reporting on time spent, task types and application health, so you always know where the budget is going.
Tracking platforms hold customer names, addresses and delivery details. We're certified to ISO 27001 for information security, as well as ISO 9001 and Cyber Essentials.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Many projects start by adding a tracking and notification layer on top of an existing order or warehouse system rather than replacing it.
